She knows fine well that Loki is right; a good appearance will make all the difference in the world, regardless of the actual character of a person. Appearances could affect so much, it was why Bruce put so much effort into giving such a dark and brooding appearance when appearing as Batman. She wished it were not so, but it was, and a century of effort on many people's part had done little to change that part of the status quo.
