New York Fun Times [closed to hashisreasons]
Honestly? She was not in the mood for dealing with SHIELD or the Avengers when she arrived to... volunteer her services for being an escort for Loki. She understood the basic principal - he had attacked one of the most visible cities on Earth and caused a lot of damage and there needed to be reparations for such a thing - but if they wanted him to improve in behaviour, such restrictions were not the way to do it. They would only cause resentment and further problems.
And so she showed up to take him out. She didn't think they expected that...

"I have always fought with you and I always will." So many wars throughout time. So many battles shared. Any time that she had needed him, Loki came. He had no problems showing up to fight by her side. She trusted him more than anyone else, with no preconceived notions about him. He owed her so much, just for being herself.
"New York. The last thing that people want to do is forgive me for what I have done." He sighed softly into her ear. "I fear that, as hard as I try, they will not see me as you do."

"It will take time, but that we have."

He sighed, taking one of her hands and threading their fingers together. "I don't want to go back."

She sighed. "If I could steal you away, I would."

"Why can't you?" He pulled back, staring at her, moving around to stand beside her and be in her line of sight. "Really. Why can't you? Take me home..."
no subject
"He knew of me from stories, and wanted to inform me of your passing." There was a pause as she squeezed his fingers, not liking even the memory of that day. "I had never seen anyone so... broken," the word fell from her lips but yes, it fit well. "I will steal you away, my God of Mischief, but right now? I think you two need to be near each other."

The fact that Thor had feelings of any kind did not sit well with him. His brother had mourned him. He was the only one of the Avengers who did. And yet, his pull didn't seem to be too resolute with the others. "Can't you just steal me away with Thor visitation," he teased.

"We would need to arrange some sort of schedule," she teased back. "Otherwise he would appear when we were wanting peace."
no subject
"A schedule would not change that. He appears when he wants." Loki grabbed another piece of breakfast meat, not turning to look at her. He sighed, nibbling at it. "If he feels as you say, why can't he say them to me!"
no subject
"Would you ever say to him? Honestly?" She levelled him with an even gaxe. Not accusing, not probing, but sincere. They both knew the answer.

"Then we are at an impasse."

Finally, he turned back to her. "I hope you are right. His "friends" are high on his priority list." There was the normal bitterness in his words, but a hint of sadness as well. "I am not. If so, he has not proven it to me."

"He wants a relationship where I stop betraying him." He looked up at her, smirking. "That's just no fun."
